Presentation Title
My Experience with Classroom Salon
Abstract
I will present my experience with using Classroom Salon, an open-learning software tool from Carnegie Melon University. I developed a new senior seminar on Infant Cognition, and used original research articles, chapters from a textbook, as well as videos for my course materials uploaded to Salon. Each of these types of materials required different "handling"; each brought a new set of challenges. I will discuss the details of the fun, the difficult, and the unexpected experiences I had, as well as some information from the students' impressions/reactions.
