YouTube University: The Benefits of Recording Lectures

Abstract
This presentation will discuss some of the technology used for and the benefits arising from recording lectures and uploading them to YouTube over the last couple of years. Posting to YouTube has allowed students at other liberal arts colleges to remotely take my classes, which is very useful, as small institutions cannot always offer the classes our students need at the time they need to take it. If students miss a lecture due to illness, a sports meet, etc. they can see exactly what they missed.
